Things You Didn't Know

Ok, so I've been tagged on facebook about three times to post 25 something or others about me/my life. I'm very sorry to all those who tagged me because I'm not doing it. So to appease people and alleviate my deleting guilt I will post 5 things in my blog that maybe you didn't know about me.

1. I'm absolutely terrified of birds. I feel like they are going to peck my eyes out. Living in NYC this posed a slight problem because of the mass infestation of winged rats (pigeons). I would walk blocks out of my way to avoid them and if they were in the street and I was with someone I would make them chase the birds away. I also wont sit anywhere near a garbage pail at the beach because of seagulls.

2. I have five tattoos. I have a butterfly on my ankle, a pierced heart on my shoulder blade, a tribal rose on my lower back, Tinkerbell on my butt, and the word "Live" on my inner wrist. Also, after the baby is born, I'm planning on getting another one on my inner forearm. Not sure what I want yet. Maybe something in Sanskrit. Something different. What can I say...I'm addicted. I got my first one at 15 (I was dating the tattoo artist) and I never looked back.

3. I'm a strict vegan for almost two years. I read the book Skinny Bitch and Slaughterhouse and I couldn't stand the thought of one animal dying for my consumption. Everyone should go to and watch the movie "Meet your Meat" before eating another bite of animal flesh. I'm also a big supporter of PETA and I work a lot with their letter writing campaigns.

4. I meditate and do yoga (prenatal yoga now) almost everyday. It really gives me some peace in my crazy mind. I need a little quiet time for myself, at least until the baby comes.

5. I have over 30 pairs of shoes. I love shoes. I will plan an outfit around my shoes. I like funky shoes, Betsey Johnson is my favorite designer.

Well that's about it. I'm not too terribly interesting, but you get the gist.
