Time

I operate on "Mom Time" meaning that if you send me an e-mail on Monday and I get back to you by Thursday I want to pour myself a celebratory glass of champagne for completing such a daunting task in such a timely manner.

But seriously y'all why is there so much to be done and not nearly enough time to do it in! (I feel like I can't just gloss over the fact that I just used the word "y'all", you see I'm from the east coast and I kind of sound like a more nasaly version of Marissa Tomei a la My Cousin Vinny, so it doesn't jibe in my everyday vernacular, but in bloggy land y'all can't hear what I really sound like).

When I get home from work I have to make dinner, undertake the daunting task of getting my kid to eat something that isn't comprised solely of carbs and cheese, give a bath and bottle, go to the gym, straighten up, make my lunch for the next day, set up my coffee pot, shower (sometimes), and go to bed. How I fit it in I'll never know, but I need like an extra 3 hours just to squeeze in time to blog, read your blogs, and maybe hang out with Andy. Sometimes I feel like my life is just running over because there just isn't enough time. Not enough time to catch up with friends (both real and electronic), catch up on my dvr, or God-forbid read a book that doesn't involve cardboard pages. Mom's should be allowed 1 extra hour a day for whatever it is they need to do.

I agree completely. I only work part-time and I still feel this way. I am thankful that my husband likes to help cook and clean because otherwise we would be starving in a dirty house!!

A.GREED! what I call "Mommy Time" is the fact that I am constantly running 5-15 minutes late everywhere I go.

Oh well.

I could have written this! It is SO VERY true. There really isn't enough time in the day for everything. Even when you feel like you did everything there is still something to be done. It is never ending.

I could not agree with this post any more. I have no idea how some moms can be on time and get so many things done with their day. I find myself constantly saying, hmm who do I need to email back, who do I need to send a dress to or a hair bow. I need a personal assistant and I am a SAHM (for now). Working moms get double Kudos for being able to keep it all together.
