At the beginning of the summer I created some goals for myself. You can read the entire post HERE but here are the highlights.
So, by Labor Day I would like to have 300 followers on my blog. I know you're not supposed to get wrapped up in numbers but I'm not that enlightened yet. This I have accomplished and then some. I'm so thankful to have found such a supportive community of followers who inspire me right back with their own blogs.
I'm gonna throw in 100 twitter followers, although I'm not exactly what you would call a "Twitteratti" but whatev. Closing in on 200 which is great since I'm such a Twitter slacker.
I would like to be at my goal weight of 120-125 pounds (I do much better with a range). I'm giving myself a lot of leeway with this one since I currently weigh about 135, so I think giving myself 3+ months to lose 10-15 pounds is reasonable and healthy. Ummm, FAIL! I'm currently about 130 so I missed the boat by 5-10 pounds le sigh.
I would like to enroll in one of those Little Gym or Gymboree classes. I can't do it during the school year because there are hardly any classes available on the weekends, I'm guessing they keep it free for parties. I think it would be so much fun to do one of those together. Another FAIL. We just were having so much fun at the pool, play dates, and day trips that we didn't get to do this. Maybe in the Fall I'll try and go to one of the early morning classes. They're just so expensive.
I'd like to take a photography class. I have this schmancy pants Nikon camera and no fricken clue how to use it properly. Another FAIL, although in my own defense, I wrote the original post before my mom got sick. I definitely wouldn't have had child care to go take a photog class.
I would like to win a giveaway. Now I realize that in order for this to happen I actually have to enter a giveaway. So maybe I'm going to change this goal to "enter giveaway" I have won two giveaways! Score!
So I'm running about 50/50 with my goals which is ok I guess but I'd like to push myself a bit harder. So here are my upcoming goals that I'd like to have established before the new year.
1. I would really like to get to my goal weight of 120-125. I know if I just exercise a bit more will power I'll be able to do it.
2. I would like to try the one free class offered by Gymboree.
3. I would like to insist upon one free afternoon without Isabella to do whatever I want while Andy watches her
4. I would like to host a dinner party for my best girlfriends complete with a theme based menu
5. I'd like to make more of an effort to call my friends on the phone and spend more time with them and have them spend more time with Isabella.
Hopefully I'll do better than half this time around.
