I Believe

...that Mrs. Trophy Wife from Exploits of a Military Mama and I were separated at birth and are really sisters.  We both have a love of wine, Anthropologie, and running.  Plus if we really were sisters I'd get to knock a few years off my age.

...in Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks on a crisp Fall morning.

...that there is humor in every situation.  Sometimes something is so sad that it becomes funny.  This is why at funerals after the initial cry, you'll see my family and I laughing to the point where it's obnoxious.  Humor has seen me through a lot of tough times.

...that spending an evening curled up in your pajamas, drinking wine, and watching reruns of Sex and The City is one hell of a good time.

...in souffled pumpkin pancakes enjoyed as a family for Sunday breakfast

...that sometimes no matter how much you love your friends and how close you were that circumstances, life issues, and time can lead you apart and even though when you do spend time together you may feel that closeness again, it might not ever be as it once was.

...in my freaky internet friends and our ability to band together when one of our own is struggling.

...in clean floors, sunny windows, and in stashing the clutter anywhere I can.

...that sights, sounds, and smells make a home.  There's nothing like waking up in the morning to the smell of coffee brewing, sizzling bacon, a laughing baby, and warm slippers.

...in lighting scented candles whenever the chance arises.

...in doing something selfish for yourself each week.  Maybe it's a mani/pedi, a night out with the girls, date night with the husband, a good book in a bubble bath.  You are worth the little moments that you carve out for yourself.

...in deep tissue massages, throw in some hot stones while you're at it.

...that sometimes the only way to deal with a full inbox is to hit delete.

Mrs. Trophy Wife over at Exploits of a Military Mama hosts the "I Believe" posts every week and this time she's asked us to link up with her and that makes me so happy because they are my fave.  So what do you believe in this week?  Link up.

Love this, and LOVE YOU!!! And I had to laugh at clean floors and stashed clutter. Girl, you know I do that too. Of course I do. Otherwise, we wouldn't be sistas.
