Pinterest Done Me Wrong

I have had a long standing love affair with Pinterest.  It's borderline obsessive.  Like if Pinterest ever went away I'd boil it's pet rabbit.  I've had a ton of success with recipes/desserts/crafts/holiday junk/home decor ideas from Pinterest, but I've also had my fair share of flops.

Best chicken in the world my ass!  It tasted like straight up mustard.  Save yourself the energy and just have a spoonful of Dijon for dinner.  Bleh!  Andy kind of liked it, but I'm convinced if I seasoned dog crap up just right he'd eat that.

Cute right?  Totally doesn't work.  Like at all. It says your phone is fully charged, but it's not.  My poor sister got 3 Christmas presents from that site and they all broke.  Poor sissy.  Don't buy from them.

Way too orangey.  It's like all orange all the time.

But all in all I've found tons of success on Pinterest.

If you want you can follow me on Pinterest, I usually follow everyone back because I'm obsessed:  click HERE to follow me.

I think I made that same orange chicken recipe and counted it as a Pinterest Fail also. Also, if a recipe has too many "funky" items that I will never use or are hard to find, it does not get re-pinned.

Pinterest has been a God-send during the middle of the night feedings. Since no one is posting on FB at 3 am, at least there is Pinterest to find something worthwhile to look at. Even if it's just the humor section.

HA HA! You never fail to give me a good laugh. :) Once I found a recipe for cookies made with strawberry cake mix on Pinterest... they looked SO good, I just HAD to make them right away. I ended up driving to 3 stores to find strawberry flavored cake mix and was so excited to get home and make the damn cookies. They were DISGUSTING! They were pretty and looked just like the photos, but SO gross. How can a cookie be gross? I don't know, but they were.

Ok, I totally made that "best chicken ever" for the first time two nights ago and it was...not. It didn't look a thing like the picture (not that one, the fully cooked one, obvs) and while it wasn't so disgusting I would have thrown it out, I don't think I'll be making it again any time soon. PINTEREST LIED.

This post makes me laugh cause I can TOTALLY relate. I'm pretty much addicted to Pinterest and most of the things I've tried have been good but some of them have been really bad. :)

I've only had success with everything I've ever made off a Pinterest idea ... probably cause it was all some form of sangria or other alcoholic drink

Lol! I agree! The hardest thing is remembering to go back and delete the pins so you don't trick some other poor unsuspecting soul!
