I absolutely loved the Hunger Games series and cannot wait to see the movie! Another GREAT series that actually has a couple of spin off series as well is The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare. Same type of Sci-Fi genre and very addictive!

I read the Hunger Games trilogy over Christmas when we were on vacation and I LOVED them! The premise sounded incredibly stupid when people described them to me, but when we saw the Hunger Games trailer at the last Twilight movie all my girlfriends got really excited. So I figured why not, and they were so right with the recommendation. I've heard the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series is also excellent. I started the first one last summer but never got a chance to finish it. I'll have to give them another shot.

The Hunger Games was my first of that particular genre. I LOVED it! I'm almost embarrassed to write the last one I read because I never imagined I would even pick up a book like this..let alone 5, but I really loved The fever series by Karen Moning. I was sad to finish it just like The Hunger Games. I liked The Trylle Series(easy read) and Life As We Knew it was god too.

I LOVED the Hunger games! You may want to check out the Last Surviors Series (also a trilogy) by Susan Beth Pfeffer. The first book is called Life as we Knew it. It's a little scary given all we hear about today, but it's a good series too!
